It's all in the eyes!
At the heart of each painting, what I'm hoping to create is an invitation to slow down, look properly and to feel, however briefly, that somebody is looking right back at you. It might even be somebody you recognise, without ever having laid eyes on them before.
There's something powerful about locking eyes with another creature and recognising the soul in there. It's one of the things nature offers us when we give it our attention.
