I work with bright buttery oil paint. All of my paintings are built up from multiple layers of colour. Each layer takes several days to dry; this part of the process takes patience, which pays off in the end.
I use a brush, a knife or my fingers to apply the paint. Look closely, and you’ll see the marks.
Vibrant and unexpected colour is another part of my signature style.
As I paint, I don't strive to paint a detailed representation. Instead, I try to convey a mood or atmosphere.
