A vibrantly colourful fine art canvas print from my original oil painting. It features predominant shades of emerald green, lime, and cerise pink. The original was highly textured, with chunky brush marks visible in the paint. Those marks translate perfectly to the print, so it very closely resembles the original.
You can choose from two finishes - a white wrap (showing the entire painting uncropped, with the sides of the canvas left white) or an image wrap (using the outside edges of the artwork to wrap the sides, giving a slightly cropped effect). The sides aren't visible from the front in either option, so it sits beautifully flush to the wall.
Designing the Room
When you have a piece this bright, you can build the room around it. This room is a perfect example of dopamine decor - maximalist but uncluttered. The canvas print is the starting point for every decision in the space.
The Colour Story
The palette flows straight off the canvas and into the room. The emerald green feature wall anchors the piece, while the cerise pink velvet sofa pulls out the dominant wash on the left side of the cow. The lime green and teal accents in the cushions and ceramics pick up the highlights in the mane.
Building the Space
The Feature Wall: A bold emerald green gives the canvas a rich, saturated backdrop to sit against. It makes the pinks and yellows pop instantly.
The Sofa: A deep cerise pink velvet sofa. It’s a confident choice that mirrors the energy of the artwork without fighting it.
The Rug: A large Persian-style rug pulls the pinks, greens, and purples together, grounding the seating area.
Plants and Accessories: A large monstera and a tall bird of paradise frame the canvas, housed in bright pink and green ceramic pots. The rattan coffee table adds natural texture to balance the strong colours.
What is Dopamine Decor?
Dopamine decor is exactly what it sounds like - designing a space that makes you feel happy. It’s about surrounding yourself with bold colours, patterns, and objects that bring you joy. It leans into maximalism, but when done right, it remains curated and uncluttered. It’s confident, warm, and -mostly importantly of all- it's deeply personal.
Why Choose a Fine Art Canvas Print?
A high-quality canvas print is a fantastic way to bring large-scale art into your home. Because the chunky brush marks of the original oil painting are captured so clearly, it retains that tactile, authentic feel. Displayed frameless, it offers a clean, modern look that lets the art speak for itself.
Recreate the Look
If you want to build a similar space, look for:
•A cerise pink or hot pink velvet sofa
•A colourful Persian-style rug with pink and green tones
•Large tropical houseplants in glazed ceramic pots
•Natural textures like a rattan or woven coffee table
