Moose Encounter - Bringing the Forest into the Garden Room

Moose Encounter - Bringing the Forest into the Garden Room
There is something so deeply grounding yet exhilarating about a moose encounter. They are fierce and magnificent and gentle, all at the same time.  I wanted to capture this quiet, majestic presence.
He looks at you straight on, alert, as if you've just stepped
into his part of the forest. I love the way his expression holds you there for a moment.

To bring that forest feeling to life, I used a really rich, saturated palette. The background is a wash of deep peacock teal and vibrant emerald green, giving way to a warm, glowing golden-yellow right behind his head, like sunlight breaking through the trees. His coat and antlers are built up in layers of warm mahogany and soft botanical cream, with unexpected little pops of coral in the brushwork.

Styling Him in Your Home

Because of his size and that lush, nature-inspired palette, he is an absolute dream for a light-filled space.

I always picture him hanging in a gorgeous garden room or orangery. Imagine soft botanical wallpaper, floor-to-ceiling arched windows flooding the room with morning light, and a big olive tree in a terracotta pot in the corner. You could pull out the warm coral tones from his face with some velvet dining chairs, and echo the mahogany of his antlers in a beautiful oak and marble table. He thrives in a room that feels alive and connected to the outdoors.
Here is the exact colour story you can pull from the painting to style your room:

Ready to Hang

He comes as a landscape-format framed canvas print, finished in a sharp black floating frame. The frame really gives him that polished, gallery feel and makes the teal and emerald colours pop.
Because he's already framed, he's ready to go straight on the wall the moment he arrives. He's available in four sizes, from a neat 16×12" right up to a magnificent 40×30" statement piece that will command the whole room.
