A new piece featuring two cheerful, sweet-faced Highland Cows ' Crimson and Clover' . The cows are soflty backlit, and the sunlight glows through their tousled luxurious hair.

The predominant colours in this painting are warm reds. Burgundy, orange and gold. All of the colours wre built up in layers, and blended on the canvas to give a beautiful effect.

As with all of my recent paintings, this one is another that was painted from my hospital bed at home. The colours are inspired by the cosy thoughts of Autumn that are racing through our heads right now.
