This is the one that started it all.

I painted Lochaber years before I knew what he'd become. He was just a Highland cow, big and bold and no nonsense, staring straight out of the canvas like he had somewhere to be. In 2018 he was licensed by Wraptious and became a best selling image. He's been widely recognised ever since - and yes, widely copied, which I take as a backhanded compliment.

Most people see him as a boy and I think they're right. And there's a solidity to him, a quiet strength.  Lochaber felt like the only name that suited him,  it's got that same weight to it.

He's now available as a large canvas print directly from me, printed on high grade fine art cotton canvas with eco-inks that are colour guaranteed for over 100 years. The wooden frame is sustainably sourced and the detail from the original oil painting comes through beautifully.
