This one is quieter than my other stags but he could be the most regal.

He's standing in the indigo shadows, antlers held high, just enough light catching him to make you want to look properly. There's something about that deep blue and teal backdrop that feels almost like moonlight through trees. Very still, very composed, completely unbothered.

The original oil painting is in a private collection in Canada, which still makes me really happy.

But I loved him too much not to make him available as a print.
He comes framed in a simple black float frame which really suits him and holds all that darkness in and gives him a bit of gallery wall credibility.

He'd look brilliant on his own as a statement piece, or alongside the warmer stags in the collection as a bit of a contrast.

Bold without the drama of Spirit Stag, quieter than Bracken Stag  he's the composed one of the group.
