A tiny little Highland Cow, but don't let her size fool you!

Islay is the 'Bear Grylls' of the herd. She's island-bred, which means she's grown up taking whatever the Scottish weather can throw at her and just getting on with it. Wind, rain, horizontal sleet off the Atlantic - she doesn't even blink. She's tiny, but she's made of granite!

There's no drama with Islay, just grit. No matter what is happening in the world, she's just out there, head down into the wind, doing her thing, which usually involves eating.

Those colours felt exactly right for her -all that fire and burnt orange and deep red, with the purple rolling in behind like an incoming weather front off the sea. She looks like she was painted in a storm, and honestly, that feels appropriate.

She's been one of my most popular designs.  That whole small-but-mighty energy is pretty universal and relatable.

She comes framed in a simple black float frame and she'll bring a bit of that island toughness with her wherever she lands.
