When I was painting my Highland cow series, I kept thinking about Harris Tweed -those incredible rich purples and greens and golds that you see in the bolts of cloth. Applecross is probably where that inspiration shows the most.
I imagine her standing on the headland overlooking the sea at Applecross at that golden hour when the light goes all warm and low, and you can see every colour of the landscape reflected in her coat. She's getting on a bit in years, but she's never looked more beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful canvas print with colours just as shown on the web page. The quality of the print is excellent. Even when looking at the print very closely, it's still not obvious that it is not an original. I'd like to add about the Air Disturbance - Owl in Flight Canvas that when placed on darker corners or walls, it almost feels like it is self-illuminating. Very special.

I asked for it to be image wrapped so the picture goes round the edges of the canvas which I prefer - just to note if others would like this - the cow’s horns don’t completely fit on the front image but it doesn’t affect how lovely the image is.
